CHRISTMAS TIME

Hello there!

We know, Christmas time was over long time ago but it's good to look back and check how happy we were during the Christmas Festival in La Pola. It was amazing to see how artistic and creative you are. Congratulations to all of the participants in the festival!
The English department read a story about Christmas; just in case you want to have a look at it, here it is:

THIS CHRISTMAS TIME

Winter is here once again.
It is that special time of the year when
Snow is falling and all is white
And Christmas lights dazzle, oh so bright!
The days are shorter and nights are long
When Christmas carolers sing their songs.
The festive spirit from a joyful choir
Brings comfort and warmth like an open fire.
Our children play and in the snow they can
Work together to build a snowman.
And when it's frozen, on the lake they skate.
How many more days until Christmas to wait?
The time is near and the shopping's almost done.
From the school all children surely run.
With Christmas markets and good company,
It's time for friends and family.
Yet amidst it all, please bear a thought
For all of those who don't have a lot.
Love and kindness from your family and mine
To one and all this Christmas time.

Apart from this, last week we have been cracking Christmas Crackers in some classes. If you don't know what a Christmas cracker is please click on here:

Halloween

Halloween is a festivity celebrated in the English speaking world and so we wanted to celebrate it in our high school. We had some competitions going on : spells, cooking, potions and pumpkin decoration. It was fun and we enjoyed a lot! We, English teachers, cast a spell on you. Did it work? It depends on the student reading this! Here you can read our spell and you  can also see some photos of that day! Enjoy! :)

"English teachers as we are,
we will make you study hard,
we make two circles, then once more,
touch our noses and then the floor.
Here's the first spell we'll try,
Abracadabra, you won't lie.
Just two circles we will do
we know what we'll do to you
touch your shoulder, then your shoe
Abracadabra, you study like two! :) "
